Amazing hostel. Very welcoming and warm staff and super sweet owners who go above and beyond to accommodate the guests and really make the place feel like home. As a solo female traveller, I really appreciated that they called to check on me when they saw I hadn't come back late one night.
Yoga classes are also offered in the morning as part of the stay, which are a great way to start the day, and Prajin, the yoga instructor, is really great.
Everything is impeccably clean and the property is very comfortable to work from as well as chill in. The good vibe that the owners create also attracts very friendly travellers and creates a comfortable environment to get to know people. It was really a great experience, If you go to Varkala you must stay here!

Pure love & care House n dorms 💕 Whenever someone ask me about Varkala, I will always have Taaraa Loca in my mind at first. This place actually became my home for 3 weeks... Everything that I needed (and even more) I've found there. Deliscious homemade breakfast every morning 🥰 Puuja ceremony every evening 😊 with teaching how to prepare prasad👌🏼Calm and quite library with terrace and view on the sky 🌌 Yoga lessons with amazing teacher Prajin 🙏🏼😇 always finished with meditation and good start of the day 🌞🌿

Safe, calm and cozy place with good location 👌🏼 (it's not in the centre so it's perfect area for the peacefull time)

I cannot recommend Taaraaa Loca enough! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the hospitality. When taxis were overcharging at the airport, the owner personally came to pick us up—a gesture that set the tone for our entire stay.
The owners are truly the most humble, heartwarming, and polite people I have ever met. Their kindness is matched by their phenomenal staff, who made us feel completely at home. Also, don't miss the breakfast—it was absolutely delicious! If you’re looking for a place with a soul and genuine care, this is it.

We had a fantastic stay here. The best accommodation we have had so far in India. Everything was very clean and well presented. We attended the morning daily yoga, which was very well run by a experienced professional. The free breakfast which was included in the price was also exceptional every morning. Overall, a fantastic stay I would recommend staying here to anyone, we really were made to feel at home.
